I have no doubt that a well controlled stick burner is a fantastic way to cook, and I have serious lust for them. It is posts like this though that keep me in the Weber family, I just could not commit the time and energy to keep one as clean as I would want. I would hate to abuse a cooker. My 22wsm is all I can handle to clean up. Mine are generally pretty spotless, likely too clean. The idea of having to consider a car wash. I will continue to be a fan of those that do use them though. Besides a pit in the ground, it seems to be at the heart of the craft.

Well, this isn't mine, but if I did have one, the car wash would be a once a year or so thing, I would think.
I'm really more concerned about getting grates clean than anything, and I just don't have anywhere good to clean them. I don't want to wash/rinse all that gunk off into my flowerbeds or my lawn.
