Since I don't really like grillin' in the rain I have my grills on the covered end of my outside deck. After trying all sorts of headlamps, flashlights, grill mounted lamps I found a thirty six inch LED (not florescent) hanging shop light for I think $14.95 at Harbor Freight. I hung it over the grill area and powered it with a switched extension cord. It has three brightness settings which eliminates much of the LED harshness. Another advantage is it lets me see most all of the grill area, Of course you would need an outside weathertight outlet. Fortunately my house came with one.
But if you don't have a roof over your grill(s) my idea won't work worth a &^%$.
