Obviously everyone has their own opinion, but yours makes me happy. Before I joined here I was thinking about investing in one to tap into my gasser. Dunno if I'm happier than I would have been, but I love the choice I made in getting a dedicated pellet smoker instead.
-
ItsAllGoneToTheDogs I’d recommend the amazentube over the smoke daddy 10/10 times. I’ll say the pellet grill outs less smoke than I like, which is why i got the smoke daddy and ultimately the tube...

A long list of embarrassingly stupid purchases over decades. Just now all I can think of is a set of useless metal meat pulling tines/claws. Passed those on to someone who thought he could use them. He didn’t.

Oh shoot! I have a pair of metal meat tines around here somewhere! LOL
Other than stabbing a roast/pork butt/turkey to remove it from the grill I think they’re mostly useless. Even then, they're mostly useless. Which I why I generally just put on my gloves and lift off whatever I’m cooking.

I prefer garden gloves with nitril gloves over them.

I know this may cause a to do, but as was mentioned previously, Grill Grates. The first "set" was way to small & a mistake on my part. But I have found a use for at least two of them with my wok oven. The one set for my gasser I just don’t have a need for them. I’ m stuck, and they sit around taking up space & I don’t want to clean em. They end up being a cruddy mess. The grates on my grill are superior & easy to clean.

Wow I’m an idiot. Do you know that I just realized I had 4 beer can chicken holders? I still have one or two around here somewhere.
i just realized reading above that's what they are/were. I’ve used them a million times as chicken cooker holder things. Wow. I guess I’m guilty.
also I must confess to buying this. It came with two so that should have been my first clue. I cut an awful lot of melon and obviously thought for just a minute that this might be useful.
NOPE!!
Likey there are some other casualties aroundd here or that may come to mind. Ribracks anyone?

Sad to say because I like everything else they make , but the drip n griddle pan just never worked for me. Using it alongside the slow-n-sear is fine but I hate cleaning it, so wrapped in foil, it works, but just foil works also. I don’t like it as a griddle because several CI options work better. End up just not using it.
The absolute worst was the BBQDragon smoking stone. I tried to get it to work, but the slow n sear is far superior for slow roasting and I could never get the stone to work evenly for pizza.

My wife calls me "Teddy" and I call her "Princess" and that's where "mrteddyprincess" comes from.
Got a present from a family member. The present was a mail order item called a "Man Crate." The box contained some dry rub, some nitrate salts for preserving, and a foil bag with wood chips embedded in the bag so that I could put pork belly in there and "smoke" it in my oven. It came with detailed instructions on how to smoke the bacon. I tasted the dry rub. I'm not sure what happened to the rest of the "Man Crate." I can't seem to find it. The family member meant well.

Things I don't use at all are my BBQ Dragon heat-resistant gloves-- not very heat resistant, not worth my time to put them on to be honest-- and my rib rack. I put brown sugar on top of my ribs when I put them on the smoker, on top of the rub, to melt and caramelize and form a nice sweet crunchy crust. Rib racks just don't work for that. Meater is another. Live & learn.

Not really related so much to the pit, but we have a really nice expensive "juicer" for several years, maybe used twice. Hey, would it be good for making sauces maybe?

I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I put it in my food.
One cannot have too many grills.
When I was in my 20's (I'm 53 now) my Mom gave me a George Foreman Grill and an older electric waffle maker. I think I made 2 burgers and 1 chicken breast on it since I have had it. The waffle iron has bad wires and will probably spontaneously combust if I ever try to make waffles with it. I have dragged these items around from several apartments and 3 houses only to still have them use up space. I have said to myself someday I will make a panini on the George Foreman and fix the cord on the Waffle iron. Ha...I haven't done it yet..
So...Right now as we speak, I am going to get them out of the cabinet and put them in the alley....... BRB...........
Ok...I'm back...They are out in the alley!!!! Wow..Feeling good about that....lol..

Large Big Green Egg, Weber Performer Deluxe, Weber Smokey Joe Silver, Fireboard Drive, 3 DigiQs, lots of Thermapens, and too much other stuff to mention.
