    Air Fryer

My wife wants an air fryer. Can anyone give me any guidance on getting her one? I stopped her from getting one off QVC the other day; if I wait too long, I'll get home and it will be on the table.

    Thanks in advance.

Is your oven convection? If so you already have one. My son got one for Christmas from his girlfriend he is going to try it out tonight. I don't think he said what brand it was.

You know what, Frozen Smoke, I don't know. I know the microwave on the rv is also a convection oven; it is in the driveway, so I could just send her out there to cook.

"Honey, if you want to air fry that, go out to the RV." No, I don't think that will work. I mentioned using the kitchen oven last night, and she - pointedly, may I add - glanced out at all the cookers on the patio. So air fryer it is.

"Honey, if you don't want to be living out in the RV you'd better get me an air fryer."
        "Yes, dear."

Sorry I'm old school. I've had thing cook in a air fryer its not the same. Think of all the thing that you eat that is deep fried. We don't deep fry a lot but when we do its all way good.

I know, Danny Mac, but we are getting older and need to cut back on the fried stuff, which we love. Plus, what she wants...

We have a 5.6 quart model from Cooks Essential and love it. Especially when we don’t want to use the big oven on convection when it’s hot out. I recommend the 5.6qt because it’s big and you’ll have options.

I have a T-Fal Actifry which is good. I just bought a Ninja Foodi which is very good and does a whole lot more than just air dry.

We have the Big Boss 16-quart air frier and love it! It’s got a ton of space, and has a clear glass cook chamber, so you can see your food cooking. We’ve had ours for about a year...friends of ours have had their for many years and it’s still going strong!

I’ve got a Phillips air fryer...the wife wanted it. I use it all the time for potatoes, either cubed for roasted potatoes or cut up for fries. You can load up the basket as long as you shake it every ten minutes or so. The potatoes come out excellent, that’s about all I use it for though and my wife pretty much never uses it

Red Man, I am pretty sure that is how it is going to go in my house too.

So this is what we got:

We got to talking to a couple in the BBB store that has had one for awhile now, and they liked it so much that they were buying another for their daughter. So of course we bought it on the spot. Good and bad reviews on Amazon, of course. I'll let you guys know how it works out.

Got one from Amazon, get the big one if you do. I like it. We cheat (eat) healthier with veggie tots instead of tater tots or fries. They don't get super crispy on a sheet in the oven, but they get really crispy in the air fryer (convection oven). Fish sticks, cheese sticks, sweet tater fries, they all come out much better in the air fryer. I think the one I got is Chew Fun brand. I wonder if the Chinese ever get a better translator after they launch a product and say, wow...we could use better name!

When I do wings outside on the Weber kettle with the vortex at indirect around 500F, there’s a lot of airflow and most eaters guessed that I fried the wings.

Pretty much like what I suspect the air fryer does. I guess I should try some potato experiments.

The better half made a rotisserie chicken in the new toy last night - it comes with the attachment. The chicken she bought was too large; she had to cut it in half to fit it in and do one half at a time. But it came out excellent. She is happy with it, so I am too

Mr. Bones seems about like non-alcolic beer to me.

Well, the better half made bacon wrapped brussel sprouts with it last night - they were excellent. I think we are going to roll with this thing.
