    Ohboyohboyohboy!!! MCS strikes again

    Well gang, my family is invading next week and I’ve got to cook for 23 people on Thanksgiving. Complicating this is the fact that my house is WAY too small to host, so we are cooking everything except the birds at home then transporting everything to the site. Sooooo, I felt perfectly justified explaining to my wife why I needed one of these:

    MY VERY OWN CAMBRO!!!!!

      Hey, food professionals, do I cover food in the trays w plastic wrap and then tinfoil when storing inside the cambro?

        I love pan liners -- full size, order from Amazon. I get the deep ones and use the excess on the sides to cover the top too. Makes life easier, along with disposable cutting boards!

        I've never used plastic wrap trying to work with that stuff is like herding cats for me! I just cover in foil. I take pork butts off the smoker then cover with foil and put in the cambro. I rest them from 12 to 14 hours in there and they still probe at 140 or better. And after a nice long rest like that they pretty much fall apart very little pulling involved. Congrats your going to love that thing!!

        In answer to yer question, 2 layer cling wrap, then 1-2 layer foil is purty standard, mebbe HouseHomey will drop in, an elaborate.

          Thanks Bones. I went on Websteraunt.com. It was $310. I bought all the restaurant pans there too and a large cutting board. Stuff is way cheaper than a regular cooking store. But, I gotta admit, I didn’t really shop around. 😃
