I have a nasty habit of backing Kickstarter knife projects... Nasty because I already have plenty of knives. However, I have found myself reaching for my Misen (Kickstarter) more and more. Looking forward to the next one from Kickstarter!

Someday, maybe, I will catch the ultra premium knife bug. For now, I’ll keep what I have and take it for sharpening every January. (Or next Saturday since I was asleep in January). Did get my Misen resharpened last month, and I could shave with it. But why would I want to. A Gillette works better.

I can get all my kitchen knives to shave. But curved blade on skin does exactly what you’d expect.

my wife is afraid of sharp knives, I’m afraid if I bought those she would take em out and smack em on the concrete when I was out surfing......

I had my knives made by Mike at Sandown Forge. They are beautiful and sharp as razors. It was $350 for the set of 3 and I believe that is his standard pricing. These are easily worth the money. This is my set with cocobolo handles.

Start showing her the Shun knives online for $800 to $1000 ea. Then show her the custom made ones and tell her you are saving thousands of dollars by buying these instead!

Or just do like I used to do with guitars...since to a lot of people they all look the same.
New? The red one? No, I've had that for years.
(As long as I already had a "red" one it was all good. LOL)
