You have to remove the plastic bumpers and what is left is all stainless steel! Its super and the stainless steel seems to be A2 which is totally safe with temperatures to 200 degrees Celsius. I am using it for years and there is no mark of oxidation whatsoever.

love the idea of the IKEA "rib racks" and I just got my Weber Spirit II E-310 gasser. I have never done ribs before and want to know if I should wait until I get my Maverick XR-50 with probes from ABCBBQDave before attempting ribs. I am definitely going to stop by IKEA for the rib racks!

Update! I got the IKEA pot lid holder/rib racks. Bought 2 of them. Did a really long SLC rack with a single IKEA digital temperature probe (for $6.99!) to check temp on the cooking area. They worked great! the digital thermometer had a 36" braided line with a monitor that had an alarm with temp display. Was able to maintain 225 for six hours on my gasser.
