This is not so much broken, as it is significantly reduced functionality. The app works, it just does not have the same usability as the old version, and there is no way to downgrade or avoid the upgrade.
I do not think the igrill2 deserves a Gold Medal any longer. See JCWhite's summary above - they removed or diminished the functionality of the device with this app upgrade. As a user who was happy with the device pre-upgrade, I am no longer using it post-upgrade due to these problems.
Ok, now I see what you're talking about. I figured out how to turn the graph on and it looked pretty decent. I just happened upon some older pics of the old graph and goodness gracious...no comparison! The graph looks like something my 6 year old grandson would draw while the old one looked pretty professional. I'm not sure why they would want to dummy down the app, but they have succeeded.
Just upgraded the app on my iPad and seems to work fine for me, graph is good temps stable and stays connected, On installation of the app the first thing that happened is it updated the firmware, this is a bit of a problem as the readings on the igrill will go out and you have to press an arrow to turn them on, then a moment later they are off again. I believe this is to save battery but is almost useless, I am going to email Weber and let them know this is unacceptable otherwise I keep it and continue to use it. Got it in the PBC and Turkey at this time.
