I'm still struggling with this... maybe I'm weird I dunno. But I'm trying to remember the last time something spilled in my oven. I mean, it's literally been years. We haven't 'cleaned' our oven in, God, probably a decade.

And it doesn't need it. How often do you guys have s*** boil over in your ovens??? Honestly, I mean, once in a while I might put a casserole dish in there on a baking tray, if I accidentally overfilled it and am worried about it, but even then, I don't think I've had any of them drip or get messed up.

I get it with PJ's "I'm gonna use my giant ass oven to make a couple slices of toast while living in Houston and heating my house up instead of using a toaster," problem, but... I expect that's just a PJ thing. lol

Stuff boiling over in the oven is rare for most folks I’d assume. Most of us know better than to fill pot/pans/baking dish to the top and then put in the oven. What can and does happen sometimes is the food contents simmering in the oven can splatter small droplets over the edge of the dish, over time these small droplets can build up. I have a self cleaning oven and rarely have to use it, maybe once or twice a year tops. A few months ago I finally started using my convection feature for doing wings in the oven, it’s called Speed Cook on my oven. Because of limited counter space and storage in my kitchen I decided not to get an air fryer. The convection oven works great for wings and getting them crispy. Unfortunately even though I use a 2 1/2” high pan with a wire rack, the fan does blow some grease splattering up from the wings onto the oven floor and walls……not a big deal but after several wing cooks, it was due for a cleaning.

I don’t cook toast often but when I do, I just stick it in the oven, top rack, and use the broiler…..takes just a few minutes. My oven must be well insulated because it lets off very little heat in my kitchen, even for a 3 hour roast in the oven. The only time I notice the heat is touching the oven top, even then it’s just barely warm. My oven never heats up the whole house 🙄 it’s barely noticeable even in my small kitchen. If I was constantly opening the door while cooking, yeah it probably would heat up the house, but I rarely open it until the foods done. I don’t want a toaster, taking up space and getting rarely used. So there, na na na na na……😂

Its incase your WD40 squirts across the kitchen and gets in your oven that was left open due to distraction...
