    Spoonula anyone?

I'm kicking around the idea of replacing my plastic spatulas and spoons. Has anyone tried the silicone stuff from Thermoworks like these? Or have a non-stick safe silicone brand that you would recommend?

I have two of those, and I use them every single day. I’d say they’re 99% of my spatula use.

Those usually go on sale. You might want to wait a week and see how much they are next Friday.

We have switched out most all our spatula's and several spoons with thermoworks brand. They hold up well and love them. Have tossed several other brand types that have separated or bubbled after just a couple uses. Do recommend thermoworks brand.

Agreed. I have the larger ones and the handy small ones from Termoworks. They’re both great!

Me too. The Thermoworks tools are great. Love them and they are very durable.

I have one that I use frequently, and I really like it. It's flexible so it's especially good for keeping sauces from sticking to the pan.

I have the Thermoworks mini-spatula and a few of their silicone brushes. (If I remember right, they came free with some other purchases from them.)

Like anything Thermoworks, they are extremely high quality. I have some very cheap silicone spatulas off of Amazon and the difference is quality is obvious; the Amazon ones have chips and small tears after just a few years of use. The Thermoworks stuff is in pristine condition and is older.

Add me to the list of happy daily users of TW's silicone utensils. That said, they don't totally replace conventional rigid spatulas and spoons:

The silicone tools are soft, flexible, and VERY non-stick friendly ... which is nice ... but they're useless for scraping purposes.

The spoonulas are great for stirring, but they just barely qualify as actual spoons. They hold very little so you'll still need real spoons for ... uh ... spooning stuff. You'll also want to hang on to your slotted actual spoons.

FWIW, I also have (and really like) TW's silicone ladles (esp. for use in non-stick pots&pans) ... and OXO's silicone-coated whisks.

Finally, like Michael_in_TX , I really like the TW silicone brushes, too.

Sounds like I need a couple Spoonulas, plus a couple food turners, and a ladle in my drawer. I'll have to wait until after Christmas to order them. Lisa and my kids have me on a no buy restriction until then. Seems I have a habit of buying exactly what they got me for Christmas before the holiday arrives. I get a similar directive before my birthday as well.

The TW Spoonulas are great! I just ordered two more because I realized I really only ever use the Spoonula and not their (also great) spatula

              +1 on ThermoWorks.
I use several of their products including their 7" and 9" silicone trivets which are heat resistant to 600*

I use the trivets as well. They’re great for protecting countertops and stone table tops.

I have three of those. All different colors. Also have a number of their other silicon tools, spatulas, brushes, ladles, and their trivets.

I only use those now, and have gotten rid of all the cheap crap we once had. I'm very happy with them.

I guess there is bad crap and good crap.

I have plenty of old crap, so I thought I might enjoy some new crap that is different from the same crap I have already. New crap over old crap, can make a day less crappy when you're in a crappy mood. But at the end of the day who really gives a crap?

Yes on the TW stuff and down with ordinary plastics and non stick coated pots and pans, I'm trying to rid myself of using plastics due to the nano plastics globally in our water, soil, and our own bodies. I quit using detergent pods in the washer and dishwasher and I stopped using biosolids and poly coated slow release fertilizers years ago as well.

I like the Williams Sonoma Flex Core Spoonula because of its length (12 inches) and for its flexible strength but mostly because it's all silicone--no seams for grunge to wedge in to. I bought 2 of them a couple of years ago and love using them. In this photo, it looks like it has a seam but by zooming in I see that it's an indentation; ones I have don't have that indentation.

I dislike mixed-media spatulas and spoonulas that have wooden or aluminum handles with silicone for the business end, for example. My pair of WS Spoonulas are better than all of the other spatulas or spoonulas I own because of their sturdiness.

Second up are the GIR (Get It Right) all-silicone surface spoonulas. They're shorter than the Williams Sonoma ones, so I use them for smaller jobs.Click image for larger version Name:	GIR-AnnotationAssets-Spoonula-01.jpg?v=1685024937&width=950.jpg Views:	0 Size:	40.7 KB ID:	1793468

I got rid of all of my mixed-media spatulas and spoonulas in favor of these all-silicone-surface ones which are easier to keep clean.
