I think that video might have been okay if they were not trying way too hard to make it sound interesting.

Just like a campy, B movie... it can be a hit if it doesn't take itself seriously.

How many videos did you actually watch in a 30 minute period? That is the true indicator of a problem haha!

At least you aren't doom-scrolling. Better to watch a can-opener video than a bunch of stuff that will have you scared to leave your house.
I have a Hamilton Beach can opener that hasn't failed me in a couple of decades. It is nice. I can put the top portion in the dish washer.
I don't know if I still have my hand-crank one.

Ever watch Bobby Flay try to open a can?

He can cook but remains equipment-challenged.

If we are not measuring can opener performance with this fish, can we really trust the overall ratings?

It’ll be here today. I’ve got an electric can opener already, but this would allow me to free up some counter space, which is at a premium in my small kitchen. It has auto shutoff, is rechargeable and gets mostly good reviews. Crazy….I only paid $37. for this yesterday using a $5. coupon. Now, it’s $50. after using the online $10. coupon! 😳

My latest issue of Consumer Reports had a page dedicated to 5 Clever Kitchen Tools. This cheese grater was one of the items featured. After about 20 years of using my Walmart special, I’m gonna go ahead and get an upgrade. This one can be used for right or left handed people, the handle reverses sides in just a few seconds if needed. Looks to be much easier than my current piece of crap….

I have the Pampered Chef version, it works well on dry cheeses such as Parmesan but tends to clog with other cheeses such as cheddar.

Oh really? Damn, cheddar is my most frequently used cheese…😡

Thanks for reminding me of the can opener as well as a cannonball that I too did many times as a kid.
