    Best Can Opener[s]-Americas Test Kitchen

This is my life now, watching a 4 minute video on can openers…🙄

Gee Whiz. If you would listen to our Benevolent Dictatrix, you would use fresh stuff. Hence, no need for can openers.
You would have time for a video re 15 tasty broccoli recipes for vegetable avoiders!!

We have that black one in the center. It works exactly like it is supposed to.

We have been using that Hamilton Beach model for years. It really is a superb can opener.

Good to hear Don, I’m actually in the market for a new one.

I wouldn't worry too much Panhead John Been down a few rabbit holes myself. Now if you start over thinking things like can openers and watch too many video's then maybe. My rule is no more than 4 or it becomes obsessive.

Panhead John It sounds to me like your testosterone levels have crashed. See your Dr. soon or you’ll be watching HGTV shows and be obsessed with keeping the garage clean. It could happen!

Grab a kitchenaid canopener and keep moving. Don't use one often enough, and they are cheap enough I'm not gonna sweat my decision.

The new ones are way better. Instead of cutting through the lid, they unpeel the seam, and the lid comes off leaving no sharp edges.

When I was kid we'd open the cans and a little piece wouldn't cut through so we would have to twist it to break the lid off, usually cutting our fingers in the process. And We Liked It! Durned progress, get off my lawn!

Can openers, out of sight, out of mind, until you need one.
we had an under cabinet mount electric one forever ago and when it finally died my wife bought one of those new fangled safety ones. Problem was most of the cans nowadays have pull tabs so I never knew how to use it until a couple years ago. 😂
