While I almost respect Panhead John, he is not an RV owner so he is not up on things. This is what you need, in my opinion: https://www.marchi-mobile.com/videos/

Doh, I parted ways with my Performer six years ago. It had been beaten to hell, the lid fell off a trailer in some unknown loc, and that all happened at the time I was needing an increase in cooking real estate.
So off went my beloved Weber which was replaced by a charcoal grill with moveable charcoal grate that is built into our bbq island. It’s a great grill. All stainless and well made.
Sadly, a year later I bought a Blackstone, and that new grill quickly became a rarely used tool for tri-tip and steak.
If I could send a message to myself in 2018 I would’ve installed a griddle in the island and either bought a lid for, or replaced all together my 22” Performer.
Thanks to Amazing Tubs for making typings like this available to the club. Such an awesome community!

Dang - I am a wireless geek, but from what I read, SnS Kettles (which are basically 22" Weber kettles with extra holes and legs) are not eligible. I suspect Fireboard is working a deal with Weber sort of like what they have with Yoder. Obviously, a fan/controller combo.

Huskee - You're welcome. I don't try to screw people on purpose, unless they have it coming.
With that being said, I just bought a 2 channel ThermoPro wireless thermometer with receiver with a 300 foot range for about $32 at Wally World.
Guess that makes me a wireless geek now.
And I still didn't need to buy some damn phone.

Smoker_Boy My dad was resistant to getting a vehicle with power steering and later resistant to one with AC, "too much garbage to go wrong, we drove for decades without that crap", he'd say. Guess what he drives now... Resistance is futile.

Too bad people have to be wireless geeks to play.
Can't this place have a receiver that goes along with the temp. units?
Ignore me, I'm just bitching.Last edited by Smoker_Boy; July 30, 2024, 02:47 PM.

Smoker_Boy most folks don't have ethernet at their grills, haha. And... the use of a mobile app via Bluetooth or Wifi with your already existing mobile phone gets rid of the need to engineer a new display, as well as new custom protocol radio. Wifi/BT radio chips are a dime a dozen, but going custom wifi incurs more engineering effort and production expense.
