Large Big Green Egg, Weber Performer Deluxe, Weber Smokey Joe Silver, Fireboard Drive, 3 DigiQs, lots of Thermapens, and too much other stuff to mention.
I'm always needing this for something or other. I have a coffee grinder, but it is worthless for small quantities of lightweight stuff. I may grab one of these.
I of course love smoked meats of all kinds, but also like quick cooks like chicken portions, pork tenderloins, steak and fish. Really into cooking of all kinds.
My outdoor kitchen has a Lone Star Grillz Adjustable and it is wonderful. There also is a Pit Boss 5 Burner Ultimate Griddle and a Pit Boss Copperhead pellet grill.
There is an outdoor fire pit that has grilling capability and limited Santa Maria-style grill raising and lowering.
Kenji swears it's the best approach for making pesto. I've done it a time or two (but my setup is cheap wood). Pretty good. I'm sure it would be even better with a proper setup like that.
If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
I've somehow made it all my adult life without one as well, but am always seeing recipes where they say to use it. I can see needing it versus my little coffee chopper/grinder thing if wet ingredients like minced garlic or fresh herbs are involved. My wife would see it and think I had gone nuts though, so doubt I will order one any time soon, haha.
I have 2, a big one that I've never used (from Costco) and a little one that I got as a gift years ago that I primarily used for grinding up things like fennel, caraway seed, and rosemary, at least until I got a spice grinder. They are very handy, imho.

I looked at different sizes, this one is right in between, that’s why I chose it. It will be useful for coriander seeds, and garlic, and like mrteddyprincess said, popcorn salt.

My wife calls me "Teddy" and I call her "Princess" and that's where "mrteddyprincess" comes from.
I use mine to never have to buy "popcorn salt." I just crush up Kosher salt and make that really small theater-style salt like they have at the movies.
I also use it Murdy to crush fennel and caraway seeds for sausage making.
Ha! I got one about 10 years ago thinking I really needed it and I think I have used it maybe two or three times all in. But I guess when you need one, you need one. Right? 🤷♂️🤣
I have a feeling that if I got one, it would odd nothing but sit on the counter next to my Alaskan ulu knife and bowl that haven’t been used in the tenish years I’ve owned it.
I have one that was a Christmas gift many years ago.
I'm pretty sure it was something I put on my list for Santa.
I'm certainly sure that I can't remember the last time I used it.
It is a nice decorative piece in the china cabinet, so there is that 🤷♂️

Y’know, one of the reasons I’ve never needed one is when a recipe starts with “grind the spices with a mortar and pestle” I usually just skip it. If it’s garlic, I can use the press, but coriander seeds? Nope.
Retired, living in Western Mass. Enjoy music, cooking and my family.
Current cookers Weber Spirit 3 burner with a full insert griddle added. A 22" Kettle with vortex, SnS and a Smokey Joe. The most recent addition is a Pit Barrel Jr with bird hanger, 4 hooks and cover. ThermoWorks Smoke 2 probe, DOT, 2 ThermoPops and a Thermapen MK4. A Thermoworks RFX Gateway 2 probe meat thermometer.
My wife has one, it was her grandmother's. It's old and heavy. It sits in front of the fireplace with fall decorations in it for now. It will change with the seasons.
