I of course love smoked meats of all kinds, but also like quick cooks like chicken portions, pork tenderloins, steak and fish. Really into cooking of all kinds.
My outdoor kitchen has a Lone Star Grillz Adjustable and it is wonderful. There also is a Pit Boss 5 Burner Ultimate Griddle and a Pit Boss Copperhead pellet grill.
There is an outdoor fire pit that has grilling capability and limited Santa Maria-style grill raising and lowering.

Are you still enjoying the mixer? Any comments after almost a year of use?
Lisa hates our KitchenAid. She has very pleasant memories of her mother's Hamilton Beach stand mixer that had a rotating bowl. For mixing non-bread things, she wants to be able to run a spatula along and around the bowl and there just isn't room for that on a KitchenAid. It was very easy on the old Hamilton Beach.
I've started poking around and there don't seem to be very many stand mixers these days with rotating bowls. But then there's this one, with a motor that could power a small city. So even at the steep price, it's something to consider.

If the main focus is bread, get the Ankarsrum, if you rarely make bread, or only make maybe 1 or 2 loaves at the most, get a KA. Or, like me, if you have a KA already, the two make a powerful 1 - 2 punch in the kitchen.
I don’t have the numbers in perfect writing, but I will have mixed up likely 500 loaves of bread by year end, and about 700 pizza kits, no way I could have done that with a KA,

Richard, yes, for us, we would do no more than two loaves at a time, so the extra capacity isn't needed. And I see your point on the handle question. But as I've looked at these, the low profile, efficiency and small footprint all appeal to me for bottom drive even without the bowl scraping question. We will keep thinking for a while...

Jim, the footprint is incredibly small, a few extra speed controls. One of the more impressive bits on the direct drive system, you eliminate KA’s only run it for 2 minutes then stop. This has a built in timer for up 12 minutes (I believe ). The dough hook is a welcome option in comparison to the the spiral dough hook on KA, I’m sure also that if I only had the Ankarsrum, I would have learned how to use it in all settings. The bowl and beater set up is very different, yet, very efficient.
