On Monday I’m going to make us reservations at Mariano’s Mexican Restaurant for Thursday dinner, probably for 6:45. If anyone that’s attending the MeatUp, whether staying at the hotel or not, is NOT going to make the Thursday dinner, can you please let me know here? I’m assuming texastweeter won’t make it because they’re coming in Friday? Is that right Adam? So if you’re NOT going, please let us know. Thanks!

Mariano invented the original frozen margarita machine and in celebration, I will have at least one at dinner on Thursday!

BREAKING NEWS! I just made our reservations for Mariano’s for Thursday at 6:00 pm. They had nothing else available later than that. I hope everyone is ok with it, but that’s the only time slot they had available that night for a group of our size.

FYI for those coming to the MeatUp this Thursday weather forecast for DFW: Texas BBQ is great in any weather!

No rain in the forecast due to the drought. BTW, there is no BBQ drought in Texas-unless you are late and they run out

MORE STUPID BREAKING NEWS! 😎 I noticed SheilaAnn mentioned her sister in DFW and CaptainMike having a friend in Dallas they were going to hook up with. Mike and Sheila, will they be joining us for the Thursday night dinner? I’ve made reservations for everyone on the attendance roster but not any extras….16 total so far. Could you please let me know if they’ll be joining us so I can let the restaurant know? If anyone on the attendance roster is bringing a guest [not on the roster] for the THURSDAY NIGHT DINNER, can you please let me know? Thanks

Meat Church Visit:
This Saturday is the 25th Crossroads of Texas Country Music festival in Waxahatchie. It is the largest one day arts, music, and food festival in the state of Texas !

Babe’s is a must. Fried chicken, chicken fingers, catfish, smoked chicken, and, of course, chicken fried steak. All good, served family style with salad, corn, green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy, and biscuits. Yeah, I’ve been a few times.
