Mini-MeatUp Planned for Lafayette

Hey folks, if anyone’s up for it 58limited Uncle Bob and Lee and I are going to have a little MeatUp in Lafayette at the end of the month….Friday 6/26 thru Sunday 6/28. A friend of David’s and his wife will be joining us Saturday morning. There’s a few places we wanna try but didn’t have time at the last MeatUp, and we’ll also hit up Laura II’s again for lunch Saturday. Damn that place was great! Friday night we’ll hit Don’s Seafood which is supposed to be awesome! There’s also another place we’d like to try Saturday night which gets excellent reviews….The Little Big Cup. Anyway, we’ll be staying at The Homewood Suites again, since it’s served us well in the past and is in a convenient location. Rates for a 1 King or 2 Queen Suite start at $124. if you’re a Hilton Honors Member or $127. if you’re not….these are their non-refundable rates. I’ll include a link to the hotel for anyone interested. Also, If anyone wants to come a day early, Thursday, let me know and I can add a night to my stay and join you.

Just to clarify for anyone interested, since this is a smaller MeatUp I HAVE NOT contacted the hotel and blocked off any rooms for us. Each person attending will need to book their room thru the Homewood Suites website I posted above. There’s a few different rates available for each room, depending on if you’re a Hilton Honors member or if you want a reservation that can be cancelled. Just like airline reservations, hotel rates can go up as you get closer to your arrival date, plan accordingly……. Being a cheap bastard, I got a non-refundable room, my 1 King Studio was $124. per night with my small Hilton Honors discount.

WI Bubba ...Well played. Being a So. Cal boy that is pampered pretty much year-round (couple weeks of the year over 100d, couple days of the year maybe 34d), I would say absolutely 'NO' to both.

Yup, there’s a few locations in the area IIRC. Supposed to be very good. TripleB said they had the best gumbo of his visit there last year.
