That is one heck of a meat market that Meathead is perusing. Is it open to the public?

Yes! It is Park Packing. It’s one of the two that I go to pretty regularly.

During my college days when beer was mostly regional, Schlitz was one of te premiums. Times have changed, but Schlitz is still a good beer. Now the hot beers seem to be iMicrobreweries.

It was brought by Northofchicago! I was quite impressed with it as I had never had Schlits before.

Glad your power is back. Those who look fondly upon the 'Good Old Days' forget what it was like before air conditioning

Thanks Purc! The peat moss idea I was given plus daily watering and coffee grounds worked really well!

Have to host it somewhere, like YouTube. You can make it a private link that only people who have the link can view.

Thank you so much to Josh(J-Melt), Jenny and the girls for opening their beautiful home to this ragtag bunch! My apologies for being late(FYI, it took 2 hours to get home), but it was worth it to meet everyone.

I forgot to get pics of most of the food but it was all amazing. The brisket, burnt ends, beans, potatoes, cake, and chicken were all delicious. And Meathead’s steak was yummy! The only thing better was the company!

Y’all certainly had a feast! It all looked wonderful, and I am sure tasted that way, too! If you want another killer recipe you need to try Troutman ‘s Pimento Cheese Corn. Maybe at your next Meat Up.

That food looks great! Looks like a good time was had by all. My BBQ plans were rained out today, maybe tomorrow...

I haven't had Schlitz in over 25 years. When I was in the Texas A&M cadet corps my outfit was Boozin' B and our motto was "The company that made Milwaukee famous!"

I brought the Schlitz. Having grown up in Milwaukee... Elsewhere , I was involved in a discussion about Pabst (same owners, now). I planned on bringing PBR but when I saw Schlitz on the shelf, I was drawn to it. There definitely is nostalgia involved the the enjoyment of barbeque, is there not?
