I understand the desire of you all for a redraw. However, the sweepstakes is actually for all eligible entrants from the previous month, so January 1st through January 31st for the February sweepstakes. Being a paid Pitmaster Club member has nothing to do with being eligible, it only guarantees you automatic entry each month. "Eligible entrants" are those that entered by the end date, whether it was a mailed-in postcard or automatic entry as a paid member.
See, it is illegal to charge entry into a sweepstakes in the US. Therefore, we cannot say "you must be a paid member to win", or "your membership lapsed, you are no longer the winner", either of those would basically saying 'you have to pay us to win our sweepstakes'. No one HAS to be a paid member to win. Non-members can enter each month with a mailed-in postcard. As a nice perk, eligible paid members get automatic monthly entry.
Larry was a paid member in good standing at this drawing's official end date, which was January 31st. He only expired a couple days ago. He's still a valid winner even as [currently] a non-member, as long as he responds by the 5-day grace period which ends this coming Tuesday night.
That said, Meathead and I are studying the rules to see if there's any adjustments that can be made or updates that are necessary. We do have to follow the legal rules though, and as far as we know five days is the legal rule.

The unselfish side of me wants Larry to respond....... the selfish side of me wants another shot at the February 2019 drawing! As FireMan mentioned though, it would be super cool if the W brought a member back into the fold.
Yep, it's possible...heck, Mr. Bones himself was a winner once! And I can't say names but twice a well-known active member was a contingent winner, except the main winners responded and claimed the prize both times so we never moved on to the next name. But, goes to show ya just never know!
