I saw that too, and figure he must have been current when the list of members was passed to the people who run the raffle. I bet he is not getting the notice though as he expired, and there ought to be a redraw from members who are not expired.

I review all the members who are drawn as the potential winners to ensure that they're current members, and Larry was when his name was drawn. Just so happened he expired after his name was picked, but I can't turn down a winner because they might expire tomorrow, does that make sense? So hopefully he gets the email that I sent him before his 5 days are up, and he's able to renew & accept his prize, best $24 he could spend! If not there will be a re-draw Weds 2/20. Former member? He was definitely still a member at the time of the drawing. Either winning this thing was the last straw , or it was the worst timing ever to let a membership lapse.

We've had that happen before where a member expired a day or two after they were drawn as the winner. Hopefully he gets this by his five-day deadline and renews and responds, otherwise it's on to the next name!
