Posting a video is as easy as posting a link. The only catch is that you cannot post a video file as a direct upload as you would with pictures. Videos must be hosted on a video hosting platform such as YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, Facebook, etc, first, then shared here.
If you wish to upload your own video from your device, follow these instructions. If you want to simply share a link to someone else's video, well that's much easier, skip the next paragraph.
Vimeo and YouTube are free and easy to set up. Once you set up a free account you simply upload your video there, and then link to it here. You can set your "channel" at YouTube or Vimeo to be private so your videos aren't out there for the world to see, then they can only be viewed from the link you share. Keep in mind, most of our Pitmaster Club channels are visible to non-members.
Once you have your video hosted somewhere, click the "Insert Video" button above. It looks like a little filmstrip. See pic:
Then you'll see the following popup window. Paste the link to your video in the box and click OK:
Your link will then look similar to this (below), with [video] tags at the beginning and end of the pasted link, as you see here:
This will allow your video to be played right here, or it can be clicked to view on the hosting site as well:
