    Godspeed, Rude Boy!

The time was right. Sold my big smoker today, it’s heading up north to become the workhorse at a restaurant. Really happy with the buyer and destination. It’s been a sweet ride, and plenty of great cooks, but out with the old, in with the new.

Sad to see him go. I loved the journey from seeing him born to doing his job well and teaching others. ...so what's "the new", did I miss something??

Don’t think so, but I’m busy building a lot of backyard smokers. I remember when I joined the pit; I was envious of your Yoder Whichita - now I’m building my own smokers and brand. What a journey!

Indeed, a Milestone, both personally, fer yerself, an fer Th Pit.

Truly, th end of one era, an beginnin of another.

Ya mentioned 'New', Hank, an I'd reckon, from previous comments that means a New Model cooker, which, like others above ^^^^, we'd all Love to see!

So sad for him to move on, but at least it would be too much effort to take that name plate off!

Hey, it’s a Hank’s cooker. They better leave the nameplate on! Yessir!
Or may I add, there might be some trouble! 🤨

The Pit Barrel Cooker May Be Too Easy

The PBC has a rabid cult following for good reason. It is absolutely positively without a doubt the best bargain on a smoker in the world. Period. This baby will cook circles around the cheap offset sideways barrel smokers because temperature control is so much easier.
