    Smoker maintenance

I've been wanting a shiny smoke stack for a while now, just haven't figured out how. But then I realized: stainless steel can be polished to resemble chrome! So I bought some stuff for my steel grinder and went to work. I'm letting the rest of the smoker rust, so it will turn a nice rusty red (on purpose). And a shiny smoke stack would be a perfect match :-)

Yeah Henrik, chrome always does the trick. It's like chrome rims on your ride.

Ha ha! I guess it's because I was raised on a farm, but whenever I hear "urea" I think "cow piss" :-)
Either way, I'll just let nature have its way. If I can wait for a brisket, I can wait for the rust. All is good.

Chrome always does the trick, FireMan! I wonder how I can incorporate classic Cadillac style curb feelers on my smoker, because surely that must help with food quality, right?

I'm not pulling your leg, actually had that thought today, but don't know how to pull it off :-)

Hmmm. You could install something similar to the top of your doors to the side, facing backwards, so that it touches the top of the smoker's body just before the door is fully open? No idea how that would look or if it would put your eye out...

Now that's a novel idea! Given a beer or two I would definitely poke my eye out, but it would look cool on the smoker!

Cajuns have a saying, "the first bite of food is with the eye." So yeah, bring on the rims!
