Happy Birthday Delilah’!
I joined the Pit in Dec 2021 when I was looking for a new Off Set.
1 year ago, my wife and I drove to Monroe NC with a U-Haul Trailer and picked up Big D!
It’s Delilah’s Birthday but I am celebrating the Pit….you all have offered advice and assistance with everything from picking out my cooker, to recipes and techniques. AND I would be remiss if I did not mention the opportunity to give & receive snark or acknowledge the support, I received during a few cases of severe MCS !

- 3 Fund Raisers & 2 already scheduled for 2024
- Several Family Gatherings & Holidays
- 2 cooks on consignment (one of them scheduled for 10 Sept!)
- Too many slabs of Ribs to count, Ditto for Chuck Roasts, Salmon and Chicken!
- Beef Dino Ribs
- A few Spatchcocked Turkeys
- Several Smoked Turkey Meatloaves (a favorite of mine)
- Pork, Lamb & game meat
- The list goes on including stuff for a pretty average entry in the recent Taco Smackdown!
