Anyone use a BBQ Guru UltraQ with their LSG 20×40 or similar stick burner? I'm thinking of using one for a brisket cook. ( my 1st brisket ever).
Here's my thoughts for a plan. I'll start my brisket in the morning using splits in the fire box. When it comes time to wrap, I'll put my charcoal "s" basket in the fire box and then use my BBQ Guru to keep it going at temperature while I sleep or rest.
How does this sound?
LSG Adjustable Grill/Smoker, MAK Pellet Grill, Large BGE with Several Attachments from the Ceramic Grill Store, Weber Genesis E335 Gasser, Cast Iron Pans & Griddle, Grill Grates, Mostly Thermoworks Thermometers, Anova SV Stick, BBQ Guru Controller and Fan
I have a LSG Adjustable Grill/Smoker. I've used a DigiQ Controller and Fan on it several times with great success. My Cooker and Controller aren't quite the same as the one you're asking about but the results should be similar. Go for it IMO. I hope this helps and answers your concerns.
If you're wrapping it and placing it back in the LSG, why don't you just use your oven? You're not going to get any more smoke on the brisket and you're just bringing the brisket up to your desired temp.
