This pit was made in 2016 for a cook who lived west of San Antonio. He passed and his son sold it to me Easter weekend 2021. I'd gotten where I couldn't muscle the Yoder Cimarron back into its parking place, so I took it back to the folks at Yoder, just two weeks prior to finding this pit. I cooked a couple of contests with it, was in the money at 2 out of 3.
I did have to de-Texas it a bit. There was barbed wire painted around the skirt and a bunch of Texas Tech stuff on the signage. Left the longhorn on the nose.
This is my 2nd Jambo! My first was a J3 which I shouldn't have sold...
Nice CandySue. I've got a backyard Jambo too. About 6 months ago I got the stainless steel grates to replace the metal mesh grates. Big improvement anx much easier to clean. I always wished Jaime had put the boiler door on the backyard models.
