Put my order in this morning. They had great sales on Tri-Tip, Bavette, and picanha. Also added a brisket and a hanger steak.
I usually switch it up between Alpine Butcher and Porter Road. These guys look pretty good.

SnS 22" kettle, 22" WSM with Pit Viper, 36" LSG pellet pooper
24" Blackstone griddle, 6 Gallon Cajun Fryer.
50K BTU wok burner.
My order showed up from Click Akaushi Saturday with two tri-tips, a chuck roast, and a ribeye. Weights were all close to advertised, and everything was still frozen solid. Sunday steak and salad has been pushed back to Monday, so tomorrow I should be able to give an opinion of the meat.Last edited by WI Bubba; November 2, 2021, 03:46 AM.

My order showed up today. I was a little nervous choosing ground freight because it estimated 4 days but two day shipping was really expensive. Everything showed up frozen solid. Weights were mostly close to as advertised with a few being a bit over. My only complaint is a couple of the vac bags had air in them, meaning they weren’t sealed well. The meat looks fantastic though.

Exactly same scenario with me. Everything frozen solid, a few items over the advertised weight, but almost all of them had air in them. It confuses me. I would've thought vacuum sealing would be the easiest part of the job. Never have this problem with SNF or Creekstone. But more than half the items I get from Crowd Cow always show up with air.

I’m slacking out the petite tender for tomorrow. When I pulled it from the freezer, there was air in the package. But it did not look freezer burned. Thinking of tanking it for a couple hours at 130F and then hitting the grill.

So I added some beef back ribs that should arrive this week along with my free extras (the petite tender and bavette).

Sale, but also, I view Wild Fork as an alternative to the local market - the stuff looks good, the price is good for choice and some prime but it's not wagyu level and when they do offer it, it's not really all that inexpensive.
This stuff and other Akaushi is (for those of us not in Texas) probably special occasion meat and increasing the price a couple $ per pound for that... eh.
PS: as a single example - outside skirt is actually cheaper per pound at Click and 2F than prime is at Wild Fork:

Shop premium Akaushi Wagyu beef from 2F Akaushi Beef, a family-owned ranch in Santa Elena, TX. All-natural, hormone-free, and raised with Certified Akaushi genetics, our beef delivers rich flavor and unbeatable quality from ranch to table—perfect for restaurants and homes across the Rio Grande Valley.

So if we're comparing similar quality, then the shipping is the difference. If you're ordering from WF regularly, it's a way better deal with that. But I can get choice grade stuff easily and the prices I see at WF are in the ballpark for what I see here, so...
Obviously if someone can't get good meat locally, WF is a killer place to shop.Last edited by rickgregory; November 7, 2021, 12:55 PM.

What is still TBD is how the wagyu tastes to my family. If it really does tastes much better than prime, then on an an absolute basis, I am paying similar amounts for Click versus Costco brisket. Can we find other things to eat to make up for the lost yield but more enjoyable meals, sure. I will be interested to see my wife’s reviews!

I have been chatting with Robert at Click quite a bit, and he is a very nice and friendly guy. They do get plate ribs (dino ribs) in regularly, but they sell out quick, so if you see them, you need to leap on it. However, they do have 4-bone chuck ribs, which his family personally prefers, and he gave me permission to share a few pics.
The first pic is plate ribs (left) and chuck (right) and the second pic looks to be both while the third pic is chuck.Last edited by STEbbq; November 8, 2021, 12:13 PM.
