A few days ago, I posted about my Allen Brothers short ribs shipment being light. I screwed up and realized it today when I went to make a batch of sourdough. I got the scale out, put the mixing bowl on it and looked down at the reading, which defaults to pounds and ounces (I ALWAYS use grams). Uh oh! I realized I misread the scale the other day and took 3 pounds 12 ounces to be 3.12 pounds. Now that's still a bit short of the promised four pound minimum, but not worth mentioning. Since I didn't weigh the other (already eaten) rack, the total weight may well have exceeded the promised eight pounds minimum.
Totally my bad. My apologies to you all, to Meathead, and to Allen Brothers.
Scotch: Current favorite- The Arran (anything by them), Glenmorangie 12yr Lasanta, sherry cask finished. The Balvenie Double Wood, also like Oban 18yr, and The Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso sherry cask finished) among others. Neat please.
