Somebody that writes for a small family farm hates large commodity meat supplier? Shocking! If he wants to be taken seriously though, he should provide some evidence for his derogatory accusations of "massive corruption" and "intentionally selling rotten food" and the like. More likely he's just stretching to market his product. (Just for the record, I regularly shop the local Wild Fork store, and have generally been very happy with their products.)

People with a bone to pick are much more vocal than those who are satisfied. People whose expectations are not met, however unrealistic, are the MOST vocal.
I once saw a review from a person who was furious that there was no wait-staff at a bbq joint, and they served only meat, thick bread, and pickles on butcher paper! The horror.

So it sounds like this might not be the place for your side hustle. Hope the right one comes along.
Many years ago I worked part time at a liquor store - Friday evenings and Saturday mornings - to make a little extra spending money. The owner was a friend of mine, so it was a benefit for both of us.
One thing I found - as many people here have mentioned - was that I didn’t often go home with much money…but I always had a nice selection of craft beer and liquor that didn’t impact my budget!
