    Cheers from Southeast Wisconsin

I just paid in today. I’ve been checking out the site for about the last 2.5 years, shortly after I got my smoker. My smoker is a MES 30 I received for Christmas. I also have a Weber gas grill. With my current deck setup, I’m a little reluctant to use charcoal/wood cookers so my Weber kettle is stored in my garage for now.

I’ve been enjoying the MES and have been pleasantly surprised with most of the results. I probably smoke more pork loins than anything else, but I think the best thing I pulled out of it so far was a pork butt. It was awesome.

I’m already loving the extra access from the paid membership and am glad I joined. Love the book also.

Sounds like me, used the site looking for tips for awhile then took the plunge.
Great people here, there's always somebody to fall on when a cook goes sideways.

Don’t be afraid of your Weber. More fires are started with gassers than charcoal. Welcome, eat good & have fun!

One random quirk I feel like mentioning, I hate onions and onion powder. I omit them from everything I cook.

Oh, that’s it! You should have let us know before you asked to join. Now we will have to reconsider. We’ll get back to you.

Hi Matt, and welcome to The Pit from NE Florida! I hate onion powder too, but I love onions - go figure. It's time for a leap of faith. Liberate that Kettle! There's nothing going to happen that we all can't handle together

The Cool Kettle With The Hinged Hood We Always Wanted

Napoleon’s 22″ Pro Cart Charcoal Kettle Grill puts a few spins on the familiar kettle design. In fact, the hinged lid with a handle on the front, spins in a rotary motion 180 degrees. It’s hard to beat a Weber kettle, but Napoleon holds its own and adds some unique features to make the 22″ Pro Cart a viable alternative.

                    Our Favorite Backyard Smoker

The amazing Karubecue is the most innovative smoker in the world. The quality of meat from this machine is astonishing. At its crux is a patented firebox that burns logs above the cooking chamber and sucks heat and extremely clean blue smoke into the thermostat controlled oven. It is our favorite smoker, period.
