    Greetings from Southern California

Greetings fellow smokers, grillers, and BBQ fiends! I've been around grilling most of my life, however, I just got the obsession a little over a year ago. My roots are on the Central Coast of California so most of my early experience was cooking tri-tips over oak. I currently use a 22' Weber with a slow and sear. I keep my temps in check with a Digi Q Cyber Q cloud. I love my current set up but look forward to adding to my arsenal as time goes on. I am excited to expand my knowledge of the sacred art of the Pitmaster!

Welcome to the Pit from a SoCal (Hollyweird, Artesia, Orange, Poway, San Diego) native now living in the Okanogan Valley of Washington state.

Along with tips, techniques, and recipes about BBQ we have a lot of fun.

If you like music, go to this thread to hear what others are listening to and share what you like.

For jokes, go to this thread.

And here to enjoy some beautiful sunsets.

Go to this thread to post where you work and what your hobbies are and get to know other members here.

We are happy to have you along and looking forward to your participation.

Thanks. I lived in Montrose for years. I love the whole Crescenta valley and will probably make my way back there eventually.

Once MCS kicks in you’ll have little choice. LOL
(More Cooker Syndrome) We all have it by varying degrees...it’s almost inevitable hanging out around these parts.

And welcome aboard from another SoCal member.

The Cool Kettle With The Hinged Hood We Always Wanted

Napoleon’s 22″ Pro Cart Charcoal Kettle Grill puts a few spins on the familiar kettle design. In fact, the hinged lid with a handle on the front, spins in a rotary motion 180 degrees. It’s hard to beat a Weber kettle, but Napoleon holds its own and adds some unique features to make the 22″ Pro Cart a viable alternative.

The amazing Karubecue is the most innovative smoker in the world. The quality of meat from this machine is astonishing.
