I am looking to refine my skills, learn from those before me, and eventually, enter some competitions. I am experimenting with rubs and sauces, tuning that taste and flavor profile, trying to get it ready for the judges. I like to read and learn, and especially try out, new recipes. Thanks for the forums and the resources, and may your meat always be tender, smoky and delicious!

Hello From Sunny SoCal!
Hello, I am excited to be a part of this wonderful community. I stared BBQ journey with a gift from my wife about 6 years ago, a Masterbuilt 40" electric smoker. I smoked everything in that little guy, Ribs, Butts, Brisket, Chicken, fish, veggies, you name it. I loved the convenience of the set-it-and-forget-it electric, but I wanted to bring my game to the next level. After the Masterbuilt died, I researched and broke down and bought a WSM 22.5. The difference in the flavor and juiciness of the meat and the smoke on the new WSM have convinced me to never turn back.
