    Grilling in North Dakota

Just grilled a pork butt yesterday, for dinner today. I followed the advice from this website and used the memphis dust. I also went with the NC vinegar sauce. Everything came out fantastic. I've used this site many times over the last two years and finally joined the Pitmasters' Club.

Thanks for the welcome. I haven't checked in in a while so I'm just getting back. The weather is improving quickly and I've been steadily grilling the whole time.

Welcome ScottyD48! Sorry I missed your initial hello here. Always nice when the weather is good for smoking/grilling. We had one of our coldest winters (actually the last two in a row were tough) here in MI and I certainly am glad to be smoking in short sleeves.

Since this is your first post, please check out our homework assignment post for new members, it contains a few how-tos and please-dos.

Hope to hear & see more from you!

The Pit Barrel Cooker May Be Too Easy

The PBC has a rabid cult following for good reason. It’s among the best bargains for a smoker in the world. This baby cooks circles around cheap offset smokers because temperature control is so much easier. Click here to read our detailed review and the raves from people who own them.

A Propane Smoker That Performs Under Pressure

The Masterbuilt MPS 340/G ThermoTemp XL Propane Smoker is the first propane smoker with a thermostat, making this baby foolproof. All you need to do is add wood to the tray above the burner to start smokin’. Click here to read our detailed review.
