There are lots and lots of good things on the main site, but personally I learn more in here, mostly because I can ask very specific questions about recipes and equipment and get a plethora of responses.

Welcome to The Pit (RibTips) ! Never heard of Humphrey's smokers before, so I had to Google 'The Pint'. NICE! Reminds me of the Backwoods Party & similar. I bet you'll love running that beast.

Since this is your first post, please check out our homework assignment post for new members, it contains a few how-tos and please-dos.

Hope to hear & see more from you!

(RibTips) I bet! I remember the day my smoker was delivered. I was watchign the road for the FedEx semi every ten seconds. Of course, they always deliver things on the later side of the delivery time window. I think I paced a path in the carpet. When it came I was gone until a couple hrs after dark playing and seasoning it in and such. Enjoy!!

A big part of this site is our unbiased equipment and product reviews. We love playing with toys and we have no problem calling them the way we see them. The Good-One Is A Superb Grill And A Superb Smoker All In One

The Good-One Open Range is dramatically different from a traditional offset smoker. By placing the heat source behind and under the smokebox instead of off to the side, Open Range produces even temperature from left to right, something almost impossible to achieve with a standard barrel shaped offset.
