Just joined from Southern Oregon, Rec Tec BBQ

    Hi all,

Just joined from Southern Oregon, Rec Tec BBQ RT-340 owner. Happy with the Rec Tec so far. I made ribs, 3 very meaty from Costco, chicken lollipops, and split chicken. They all came out great. Can't wait to try pork shoulder/butt. Used Weber Smokey Mountain 14" before with great results, but too much attention needed. The Rec Tec controller works superbly so far to keep very consistent temp without fuss. Looking forward to learning from all of you and want a place to share my pics of BBQ by me.

You'll fit right in, here. The chicken looks exceptional.

Just a little background - the name "treesmacker" - i smacked straight into a frozen tree while skiing at Heavenly, CA 20 years ago. Broke my pelvis and knee, but fully recovered with a little knee metal and screws. Never skied since. BBQ is safer.
