Hi All,
I have finally joined as a Pit Member; but have used this site for a couple of years based on a recommendation by my brother. Have been an avid back yard smoker for about 15 years. Started with a Brinkman Electric bullet and then had a cheap offset; but just last May got the Pit Barrel Cooker (PBC), base on reviews from this site. I absolutely love it and the food it produces.

I live in Overland Park, KS (suburb of Kansas City) - so I appreciate good BBQ due to all of the good joints we have in our city.

I'm looking forward to learning more and posting ideas/pics of my own.

Hi, my name is Darrell. I'm an OTR truck driver for over 25 years. During my off time I love doing backyard cooks. I have a 48" Lang Deluxe smoker, Rec-Tec pellet smoker,1 Weber Genesis 330, 1 Weber Performer (blue), 2 Weber kettles (1 black and 1 Copper), 1 26" Weber kettle, a WSM, 8 Maverick Redi Chek thermometers, a PartyQ, 2 SnS, Grill Grates, Cast Iron grates, 1 ThermoPop (orange) and 2 ThermoPens (pink and orange) and planning on adding more cooking accessories. Now I have an Anova sous vide, the Dragon blower and 2 Chef alarms from Thermoworks.

Welcome Mike, good choice with the PBC. I'd say Go Chiefs! but they already lost today. Pretty bad win your running back is also your top receiver and best pass protector.
