Welcome to the pit! Great list of hobbies. I want to reenforce what JCGrill said, cook some great food and there will be little resistance to new purchases.

Along with mastering your new smoker and reading many of the posts in this forum, you will discover that the Kettle is a master in disguise and one heck of a compliment to a traditional smoker.
