hi y'all. i just wanted to introduce myself. i've been an on & off lurker for a couple of years & decided to quit messin' around and join. i started grilling in my mid 20s. on my 35th birthday i realized my wife truly is smarter than i am. ( i always suspected) she bought me a large big green egg and the rest is history. it's like when i buy her lingerie...it's a gift for her, but really a gift for me. she jedi mind tricked me! hell, i cook dinner on the egg at least 5 nights a week! we do a lot of entertaining, so on my 40th she gave me another large bge! i love it! my boys (9 & 10) say their favorite restaurant is "Dad's big green egg." so, by joining i'm looking to expand my knowledge & recipes by joining "the pit". i have a great friend that also loves smoking', so i'll probably give him a membership soon. thanks ahead of time for all of the info!
Scotch: Current favorite- The Arran (anything by them), Glenmorangie 12yr Lasanta, sherry cask finished. The Balvenie Double Wood, also like Oban 18yr, and The Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso sherry cask finished) among others. Neat please.
