Thank you all for the warm welcome, I am sharing some pictures of previous experiences, hoping to get you in the cooking mood for the weekend, at least in Costa Rica, is sunny and beautiful ( I know i should not be bragging about it I am sorry) we have the perfect weather for a smoke afternoon!
There is a lot of passion for BBQ in Costa Rica, I will make sure everyone hears about the forum!
So how tough is it there, if you don't speak Spanish? I'm someone who relies on my verbal abilities, but also someone who has never been very good at learning other languages. At the same time, I see the attractions of Central America. Any thought appreciated.

Is not really difficult, we are a very "english oriented" culture, most tourist places have all the information in english, food menus, and most people at least will be able to understand what you are trying to say and give you the right directions, if you are thinking about going to the beach, you are not going to have any problem, our country depends a lot on tourism so all supermarkets, grocery stores, drugstores etc offer english speakers help.
