    Hey yall

I'm John, living here in North Augusta SC. Been here a little over 6 years now, originally from Ann Arbor Mi. Since I moved south I realized I had to up my grilling game to keep up with my new friends... it was no longer a gasser and forget it. After doing some reading for a while I purchased my first smoker, a Traeger Jr at Costco in April of 2015 and it was on! Added a new controller, a homemade 2nd shelf and many extras. After about 9 months and multiple friends having me cook for their parties it was time to go bigger. I decided after more reviewing to go with a Rec Tec 680. Not just because it's a awesome pellet grill, the headquarters is about 5 minutes from my house... I though I was good with that... but last week... for my 41st birthday... after the wife said no more grills... I acquired a brand new 22 inch Weber kettle from some friends who love my cooking! So the thrill of learning a new grill is on. Glad I have all of you as backup for my latest endeavor!

Broke it in with burgers Sunday. Salmon last night and probably a pork tenderloin tonight. Already looking into the SnS. Just trying to learn different coal configurations before I buy anything else...
