    Excited about becoming a new member

    Truly excited about becoming a member of this site. I've enjoyed the depth of the articles and the varied amount of information on the site and within The Pit. Hoping to contribute something useful for others over time. Just purchased a Pit Barrel Cooker (which arrived yesterday) and have dabbled in gas grill direct and 2 zone cooking prior to that. Based in Winchester Va and looking forward to learning more about the art of BBQ!

                      You have a lot of great PBC company; some really great PBCers are here, but I'm not one of them. I'm a Weber guy.

                      Considering the wide geographical dispersion of our members, we're neighbors. I am in Leesburg.

                      A couple of decades ago, I went on a regional earch for the holy grail of ribs with a couple of friends. We had a split decision with two of us voting for Winchester's Cork Street Tavern's bold ribs.
