    I've been smoking for about 5 years, recreationally on my MES 40" (electric). I decided I wanted to get a little more serious about, smoke more often, and pay more attention to detail.

    I was really torn between a pellet grill and a stick burner. Through research I narrowed it down to a Mak 1 Star, or a KBQ c60.... decided to go with the 1 Star, ordered it a few days ago. Today I had a change of heart, and decided to try and cancel that order (it was supposed to take two weeks to ship), and get the KBQ... turns out it already shipped yesterday. So come tomorrow I will be a new owner of a Mak 1 Star. Probably for the best, as I'll be able to cook a lot more with it, and if I decide I really want to take it to the next level, I can always get a KBQ or COS down the road.

                Welcome to The Pit sbdave! Nice to have you here. Hopefully this will be one of those stories down the road 'I tried to cancel my Mak order, but couldn't and boy I'm so glad!' If not, you should have no trouble selling it to the next lucky pitmaster and getting your KBQ. Either way, great food in your future!
