I ended up buying a Tucker BBQ locally - has flat plate over 2 burners and stainless grate over the other two. I've never been a big fan of gas grills, have had a few, gotten rid of them. In our use case it's an upper patio - 1st floor - right off the kitchen so it makes sense. The egg is down in the back yard ground floor. I'm learning to like it, the plate. Different style of cooking. You might find something similar in NZ - I checked - I don't think there's any stockists for Tucker BBQ down there and I can't see it making any sense to try to ship one over. Good luck!

Mrs career - company had a gig for us down here and we jumped at the chance. Both in tech - my company said "do we have to pay relo? Nah? OK go have fun"Originally posted by Stuey1515 View PostMy go-to here is "Welcome from Oz" but you are already here 😄
Just curious what brought you half way around the world, not many Yanks get over this way in my experience
We've met quite a few Yanks down here, and know several from before moving (which helped, consulted with them at length) - most married to Aussies but there's more than you might think especially in the capital cities.
