Grew up with Eastern NC tradition, vinegar sauce, whole hog . . . love Lexington, I know, I know - AND SC Mustard (whole fam is from SC). Now enjoying incredibly high quality meats down under - their stuff is fantastic. Just did lamb shoulder pulled pork style and used the Kentucky 'black BBQ' sauce recipe to rave reviews from my native Aussie friends.
Left my beloved Primo XL back in the states - 'making do' with a L BGE. Oh and they love their gas flat plate 'grills' down here - still getting used to that. Getting better at cooking on them, but still prefer fire, duh.
Anyway - American style 'Q is really taking off down here and I love to see it.
