Old guy from Central Texas...
Just discovered this site a few days ago and have fallen in love with it. I have also purchased the book and am using it as a text book during my daily contemplation period... I have been playing with smoke and fire for more years than most of you have been alive...
Retired IBM field techy living on 250 wooded acres nestled in Central Texas. I had 4 years in the Navy, 30 years with IBM and 31 years doing whatever I have wanted... Still hanging onto the same wife after 66 years... At the moment of writing I am 87 and on no prescription drugs... I might add we are dog nuts(as in crazy) having had well over fifty over the years and currently sleep with 9 rescues and 1 wife.... The dogs and sometimes the wife, take turns sharing the bed... Not a bad life!
I might add my outdoor kitchen consists of 2 Camp Chef 3-burner stoves, a Lyfe Tyme offset smoker, a Vision Kamado, 24" wok on its own stand, a turkey cooker on its own stand, 2 tripods for over the coals cast iron cooking (Over a hundred pieces of cast iron to chose from), 3 freezers and two refrigerators... My knives are varied and sharp...
