Well, you fessed up & said you were cookin a brisket. So, now ya have ta show us some pics of yer cooker and results of yer cook. Welcome, eat good & have fun!
I'm heading the other way! Started with pellets, expended horizons and now using a Weber kettle and an offset stickburner! Loving the process, though I still have my Yoder pellet and my propane Camp Chef for other cooks when I don't want to feed the firebox! lol
Welcome!
I've got some plans for my pellet smoker, though... going to experiment a little bit, I think.
Welcome Roosevelt! Coming at you from the northern VA burbs of Washington DC. My first cooker is a Pit Boss vertical pellet smoker and I love it very much. I've done only a few briskets, but have used the PB for them because it's totally stable (so long as power doesn't fail of course). I also branched out to add a kettle, which I use very often in combo with the pellet rig nowadays, starting cuts on the kettle with charcoal and wood chunks, and then finishing in the pellet smoker.
Looking forward to seeing your results! Do post the pics, because around here, the "pics or it didn't happen" thing is taken pretty seriously...!
