Heard a lot about this page from listening to Meathead on the BBQ Nation podcast. I’ve always used propane grills and electric smokers until October I finally got a Weber kettle. It’s definitely been a learning experience. Seemed like the first month I was either running temps way too high or way too low. Finally got that dialed in mostly, picked up a rotisserie add-on and loving it! Hoping to pick up some solid recipes and techniques here. Glad to be part of the community!

Hi Smilner. Here’s a link to the SnS insert with a great description and pics.
And yes we do have a page here with the most commonly used acronyms, I still use it occasionally. I was lost too when I first got here. I’ll post a link for it also.
Here are some commonly used abbreviations, both in the BBQ world and outside of it. Some are just for fun. Feel free to comment and add any you feel might help contribute. ABT- Atomic Buffalo Turds (tasty grilled treat) AC-DC- Alternating Current-Direct Current AFK- Away from Keyboard AFAIK- As Far As I Know AKA- Also
