Joined yesterday. New to The Pit, old to cooking. Looking to fine tune my BBQ/grilling of meat (and/or veggies). Have a Webber gas-fired grill and a propane Big Easy grill, but they do not work that well for smoking. Had a vertical propane smoker which worked so-so. Looking to buy a good "real" wood (not pellets) smoker for the backyard, have access to a lot of different types of wood here in North Texas. Been doing the research on the internet, watching cooking shows, YouTube, etc., would like some advice from y'all.

I had a Big Easy, fantastic bird cooker and could turn out a smoked pork butt... but yeah everything else not so much. Dunno much about stick burners so don't have any advice there, but welcome to The Pit!

Welcome to the Pit from southwest Florida. I have a pellet cooker. But if you're looking for advice on a stick burner, you'll find plenty here.
