I’ve used the sponge scrubbies too, but I found you can cover more area with the Pit Boss scrubber faster, and I like the handle which allows you to put more pressure on the griddle when scrubbing. I think I got almost a year out of the removable pad before replacing it. Replacement pads are 2 for $5.00 Anyway, yeah the sponge scrubbies do work also.
