I get my gasser cleaned by a service every couple of years. They are a couple of university students and I can’t remember for certain but $150.00 sounds about right. Living in a condo I don’t have the setup to do it properly myself. These guys come in, lay down tarps, break down the unit and use steam to clean the BBQ. Quite the difference after they are done. I’m due for a cleaning next spring and if I remember I’ll take a before and after picture.
Retired, living in Western Mass. Enjoy music, cooking and my family.
Current cookers Weber Spirit 3 burner with a full insert griddle added. A 22" Kettle with vortex, SnS and a Smokey Joe. The most recent addition is a Pit Barrel Jr with bird hanger, 4 hooks and cover. ThermoWorks Smoke 2 probe, DOT, 2 ThermoPops and a Thermapen MK4. A Thermoworks RFX Gateway 2 probe meat thermometer.
I need to have the ash swipe on my Kettle replaced, frozen. I've watched videos and looks pretty straight forward. My issue is me. The limited physical motion and mobility due to the arthritis, would make it a challenge. So, I'm going into seek out a service. My 1st inquiry will be the in town ACE where I purchase it from.
There is a pair of guys here that advertise $225 for a complete, deep cleaning. I've never known anyone that has used them.
I called once to get a quote on cleaning four grills/smokers and left a message. They never even returned my call. Oh well, life goes on.

Yeah…I’m not feeling it. Good for him, but I’m not looking to be a customer. I suppose if I let my cookers get completely crudded up, maybe…but they’re easy to maintain on the fly as it were. And seeing as I also own a pressure washer…super crud wouldn’t be a problem anyway.
